Health +- Blue Cross Portal:
Information Portal and Claims Form Library - Launch Site

Project Overview:
Develop an online portal for Health + an Insurance company whose main clientel is the fast food franchise markets. With over 300,000 members in one of many association plans Health + needed a way to cost effectively communicate with each member and provide excellence in customer care.

Anderson-Taylor developed an online library for Health + which provides Health Plan information and Claims Forms for each policy type. In addition Anderson-Taylor was asked to embed the Blue Cross database of participating physicians into the Health + website portal. Finally Health + wanted an easy method to replace the current costly paper and US mail systems that were in place.

Anderson-Taylor proposed a robust website that would result in a fully functional, easy to navigate and feature rich online library and communications portal. This new portal clearly provides Health + members with the an easy method to research their plan, submit claims and find out about the latest changes in their health care insurance products and services. To this end, the following components were developed:

• Simple and easy to navigate php based site that was later translated to .NET and html.
  
• A easy to navigate forms library interface allowing members to easily locate the forms they need with the click of a button.
  
• An easy to understand and readily available area to display FAQ's and Health + Information.
  
• Integrated and easily updatable communications tools for Health + to communicate to it's members.
  
• An easy to understand Blue Cross member and participating pysician area.

Parts of this site was built to integrate into a larger member site in the future. This member site will allow members to login and view membership discounted products and services, calendars of events and take registrations.

The web portal is well received by Health + and its members.
